November TBR/Goals

Hey, everyone! It’s the Book Valkyrie here, and today I will be sharing with you my TBR (To Be Read) and goals for this month! Keep in mind that I may read less or more than what’s shown on this post depending on how I’m feeling. After all, this is a pretty ambitious list… Well, regardless of that, let’s just dive right in!

Image result for to be read

1. Frankenstein by Mary Shelley

After reading Kiersten White’s The Dark Descent of Elizabeth Frankenstein, I became obsessed with all things Frankenstein. So why not read the original book?

2. The 7 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle by Stuart Turton

I’ve been looking forward to reading this one for a long time (ever since I failed to get the ARC of it… rip), so my expectations are very high!

3. The Nowhere Girls by Amy Reed

I’ve heard great things about this one! Also… talk about cover love!!

4. Vicious by V.E. Schwab

I read Ms. Schwab’s A Darker Shade of Magic last year and really liked it! I bet I’ll love Vicious too!

5. Katherine of Aragon: the True Queen by Alison Weir

Guys, I am obsessed with anything related to the Tudors, so obviously I need to read this book.

6. What I Lost by Alexandra Ballard

Yet another book readers are raving about! This one is definitely at the top of my list for this month! I’m just afraid that its emotional impact will hit me too hard…

7. Royal Bastards by Andrew Shvarts

I have a fishy feeling about this one, but I’ve already checked it out from the library… Might as well give it a chance.

8. Mary’s Monster by Lila Judge

Remember how I mentioned that I’m obsessed with all things Frankenstein?

9. The Wicked Deep by Shea Ernshaw

A YA interpretation of the Salem Witch Trials? Say no more!!

10. Flashback (Keeper of the Lost Cities, #7) by Shannon Messenger

I’ve been reading this series for years now, so it’s no surprise that I can’t wait for Flashback to come out on November 6th! Speaking of which, I’m going to be attending Shannon’s SF event for Flashback the following day! I’m so excited!!

11. Bright We Burn by Kiersten White

I liked And I Darken.

I LOVED Now I Rise.

Now, the question is… What will be my reaction towards Bright We Burn?`

12. Darius the Great is Not Okay by Adib Khorram

I have a physical copy of this one, so its about time I read it!

13. Renegades by Marissa Meyer

I’m disappointed in myself for having not read this yet. What’s wrong with me???

14. Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli

Guys… I have committed a horrible act of wickedness as a reader. I watched Love, Simon before reading Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda!!! I know, I’m an awful person.

15. Blanca and Roja by Anna-Marie McLemore

This looks SO. FREAKIN. GOOOD!!! Gimme, gimme.

16. Heretics Anonymous by Katie Henry

So many people have recommended this to me, so I’m finally going to read it! That cover is very interesting…

17. Wildcard by Marie Lu

I didn’t love Warcross, but I still thought it was a pretty solid read. Hopefully I enjoy its sequel!

18. Wild Beauty by Anna-Marie McLemore

This book has been talked about soooo much! That’s right, you heard me. I’m giving into the hype.

19. The Passion of Dolssa by Julie Berry

This one has received many awards, so I’m very excited!

20. Beyond a Darkened Shore by Jessica Leake

This one sounds super good!! My friend keeps telling me to read it, and I’m pleased to say that I will soon!

So that’s it for my TBR, guys! Recently, I’ve been reading 20-30 books a month, so we’ll see how this goes!

Now, moving on to…

Image result for Goals

Goal #1: Read at least one non-fiction novel

I’m trying to read more non-fiction, but IT’S SOOOO HARD. I like my sci-fi and fantasy, okay?

Goal #2: Write at least three book reviews

I’m so lazy when it comes to writing book reviews, so hopefully this goal is executed!

Goal #3: Post 2-3 times a week

I’m doing well so far, but I’m probably going to slack off at some point ):

So that’s essentially my plan for November reading-wise! Let’s hope this is a successful month! Do you have a November TBR that you’d like to share with me? Link it down below!

Thanks for reading, everyone!

See you soon,

The Book Valkyrie

Wow! That is an impressive TBR!

I love Frankenstein – it is such a deep novel and so much more profound than I ever expected. I hope you love it!

The Passion of Dolssa is also excellent (I read it earlier this year), and has an eerie tone to it as well. Looking forward to hearing what you think of it! 🙂

I just read Frankenstein and enjoyed it quite a lot!

As for the Passion of Dolssa, I still haven’t started it! I’ve checked it out from my library, so hopefully I will soon!

      Thank you for your comment!!
