WWW Wednesday 12/18

WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam over on Taking on a World of Words.

Every week when participating in this meme, you dedicate a post to the three W’s:

What are you currently reading?

What have you just finished reading?

What are you going to read next?

I haven’t done one of these posts in a long time, so I’m looking forward to partaking in this meme once again! Let me share with you my three W’s!

What are you currently reading?

I am currently reading Above All Else by Dana Alison Levy. I was lucky enough to receive an eArc of this title– Thank you NetGalley! This book is about two teens, Rose and Tate, and their journey up the legendary Mount Everest. I’m about 20% through this book, and I’m really enjoying it! Dana Alison Levy has a wonderful ability to pull readers in with captivating characters and an interesting plot. I really appreciate all of the details she put into the story– flashbacks, amazing imagery, wonderful descriptions of the settings, etc. I’m loving Above All Else, and I cannot wait to see where the story goes! Hopefully a review will be coming soon!

What have you just finished reading?

We love a Cruel Prince re-read!

I decided to do a Cruel Prince re-read in preparation for Queen of Nothing, which I still haven’t read yet! I’ve been holding off from starting it for so long because I’m just not ready for this series to end!

The Cruel Prince will always be one of my favourite books! I think I could re-read it a billion times and never get sick of it!

I got about 100 pages in before I decided it just wasn’t for me. The plot was really slow, and I found the characters, particularly the protagonist, so very dry.

I’m not all that surprised that I didn’t enjoy this book, as it was one that came in a Unicorn Crate box I ordered. I love Unicorn Crate bookish goodies, but I’ve enjoyed very few of their chosen books, which is why it’s not a shock that I didn’t love this one.

What are you going to read next?

I couldn’t be more excited to read Woven in Moonlight!

I won it in a BookishFirst raffle– The first one I’ve ever entered, actually (which is kind of suspicious, but who cares because free books)!

This book looks seriously good. The title and cover are giving me such whimsical vibes! I can’t wait for this book to be delivered to my home so I can dive into it and enjoy it!

I am not ready to accept that the Folk of the Air trilogy is over.

That is all I will say.

What about you?

What are your three W’s? Let me know down below in the comments! Or, leave a link to your WWW post if you have one! Have a wonderful rest of your Wednesday!

I absolutely love the cover for Woven in Moonlight! That one is on a lot of peoples’ lists lately and I’m keen to check it out too. I came across Above All Else the other day and thought about requesting it but was on the fence–I was mostly pulled in because of the cover but the synopsis does sound interesting too (and like nothing I’ve read before). Hope you continue to enjoy it! 🙂
