Spring TBR

Hey all! I know it’s been a while, but I promise I’m still here! Lately, I’ve been super busy with school, theatre, and even just keeping my life together. Soooo… there hasn’t been much time for blogging. But I miss it, and I want to post more! I thought it might be nice to post a Spring TBR list– I’m not the type of person who really enjoys posting monthly TBRs. Honestly, I prefer to give myself a broader period of time to read a certain list of books, as I hate feeling pressured to get all my reading done over one month.

So, what do I want to read this spring? Let’s find out!

The Wicked King by Holly Black

So, hear me out.

The only reason I haven’t finished this series yet (let alone the second book) is that I just don’t want it to end! I’ve read The Cruel Prince TWICE now, and that’s a big thing for me, as I never re-read books. When I read it, I was surprised by how much it lived up to the hype. Since I loved it so much, I’m scared that the next two books won’t live up to my very high expectations! Have you finished the Folk of the Air trilogy? If you have, please let me know what you think of the second and third books in the series!

Lovely War by Julie Berry

Greek Mythology crossed with WWII fiction? Sign me up! A couple months ago, I saw my friend reading this book and was instantly intrigued by its stunning cover! Naturally, I asked her about it, and she said that she was really enjoying it and would definitely recommend it to me! This book is very high up on my TBR list for this season! I can’t wait to get my hands on it!

All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr

Yep, another World War II book!

I know that All the Light We Cannot See was released some time ago, and I’m disappointed in myself for having not gotten around to reading it! I’ve heard such great things about it, and the plot sounds like something I’d really be interested in. I already have this book downloaded on my kindle, so I have no excuse not to read it this spring!

Burn Our Bodies Down by Rory Power

I’m so fortunate to have received an ARC of this title via NetGalley!

Months ago, I read Rory Power’s debut novel, Wilder Girls (also an ARC), and loved it! So, of course I’m excited to read more of her work! This book has a very mysterious synopsis that has me totally hooked, and, uh, let’s just take a moment to appreciate this STUNNING COVER! Honestly, I have no idea who did this cover art, but whoever they are, they did an incredible job!

Catherine House by Elisabeth Thomas

Another ARC! I’m starting to realize that Netgalley has been really generous with me lately!

Catherine House, like Burn Our Bodies Down, is a mystery novel! I haven’t explored the mystery genre very much, so I have high hopes that some of the books on this list, including Catherine House, will result in me discovering a new love for the genre!

That’s it for now!

I have so many more books I want to read this season, but I don’t want to get ahead of myself! What are some books on your Spring TBR? Let me know down below in the comments! Have a wonderful weekend! ❤

all these books sound so good. i can’t wait to hear your thoughts on the ‘wicked king.’ it was my favourite book from the series so i hope you really love it. ‘lovely war’ sounds SO GOOD!! and absolute heartbreaking which im entriely here for. nothing like sobbing your eyes out over historic fiction to brighten the day.

congrats on getting the arc to ‘burn our bodies!!’ i finished wilder girls recently and i really really loved the atmospheric setting and eerie feel (though i wish the ending had more closure 😭) i hope you enjoy it!!

good luck on your spring tbr!! you’re going to do great!!

I’m so so excited for The Wicked King! I have a long road trip coming up within the next few weeks, so I think that’s when I’m just going to dive right into it and probably finish it in a few hours if it’s anything like the Cruel Prince!

Yesssss Lovely War sounds so good! I have a tendency to cry my eyes out for a week after reading any WWII book, but it’s usually worth it! 😂

I started Burn Our Bodies Down last night and I’m actually enjoying it more than I enjoyed Wilder Girls! I agree with you on the fact that the ending could have used more closure. I hate when authors leave things semi-unfinished!

Thank you for the good luck wishes and your lovely comment! So great to hear from you! ❤
