Thanks so much! I didn’t want to go rambling on about how excited I was for each book, so I thought that using a scale would be easier! I’m super excited for Fable too! The reason why I rated it 5/10 on the excitement scale was just because I wasn’t a huge fan of the author’s other books. But I have a feeling I’m going to like this one! Thanks for reading!

I hadn’t heard of The Other Side of the Sky, but oh it looks and sounds breathtaking. Oooh….looks like my library’s ordered it, so that goes into my hold list.

I’m really excited to hear the feedback on Blood and Honey, I haven’t picked up Serpent and Dove, but so many people are thrilled for this release. I hope it delivers!

AHHHHHHHH CAN SEPTEMBER JUST GET HERE ALREADY??? There are so many amazing books coming our way! I’m definitely predicting some five star reviews! 💙💙💙

To be perfectly honest, I’m not sure which book I’m more excited for! We all know that Blood and Honey is going to DESTROY us [in the BEST way] but The Other Side of the Sky looks so atmospheric. I’m 100% getting Spyro vibes [if you’ve ever played A Hero’s Tail – it kind of gives off a Cloudy Domain vibe???]. Blending fantasy and science fiction is just pure genius!

I’m also super excited to finally get my hands on Where Dreams Descend. Even if ~technically~ it releases in August. 😉 [Give me those Phantom vibes!!!]. 😉

Yup, just put me in a coma for the next six days and wake me up when it’s September! Hmmmmm… I think Blood and Honey and The Other Side of the Sky are my top two releases. I already know I’m going to love both of them. Plus, TOSOTS has a CAT in it! A CAT! That’s already reason enough to give it five stars. And you’re totally right– A fantasy/sci-fi blend is genius! Our girls Amie and Meagan never fail to amaze me with their talent and intelligence! Also (*shuffles around nervously*), would you perhaps be interested in buddy reading either or both of those releases? I’m soooo excited to read both of them, and I think the experience would be even more fun with you! I’ve already pre-ordered both books, I think I’m a littleeeee too excited. No worries if you’d rather read them independently though, I understand!

Wait a minute… are you referring to The Phantom of the Opera, one of my all time favorite musicals EVER??? I’ve heard of WDD, but I had no idea it had Phantom vibes. The theatre geek in me is SCREAMING. I am adding it to my TBR NOW!!!

Sorry for all of the annoyingly long responses today! Thanks so much for showing my posts tons of love!

I’ve pre-ordered my copies too but the only issue is that there has been some serious delays with shipping due to Melbourne’s lock down. Would it put you off if I don’t get my copies straight away??? You can bet that I’ll be obsessively checking my tracking numbers so I’ll let you know as soon as I have an indication when they’ll arrive!

Right? I love pet side kicks in books so I can’t wait to see what Megan and Amie do! Like you said – they’ve never led us wrong!

AND HOLD THE DANG PHONE – SINCE WHEN DID YOU LOVE PHANTOM?!?! IT’S ONLY MY FAVORITE THING EVER BESIDES TITANIC!!! LIKE, HOW DID WE NOT KNOW THIS??? I AM SHOOK!!! Like, you’re screaming? I’M screaming! 😱😱😱 [Also the whole same-person-thing is actually starting to get a little creepy… are you SURE we’re not actually sisters???]

Have you seen the live performance with Sierra Boggess and Ramin Karimloo??? It’s my FAVORITE and I may or may not be 100% in love with Ramin’s phantom [and Ramin for that matter]. 💙💙💙

      • Octavia @ Mermaid Reads says:

OMG NO WAY!!! Phantom is the best! I love love LOVE Sierra and Ramin’s performance together! I watch it on youtube all the freakin time! Ramin’s voice is SOOOOO enchanting, it literally puts a spell on me! I swear, after this revelation, there’s no doubt that we’re long lost sisters.

And no problem if your copies are a bit delayed! I’m actually planning on spending the first half of September binge rereading the ACOTAR series, so there’s no rush! Let me know what date works for you! AHHHHH I’M SO HYPED!

      • readingbystarlightblog says:

HAHAHA ME TOO – LITERALLY OBSESSED WITH RAMIN AND SIERRA. No doubt indeed! 😂 That moment when he appears in the mirror and the overture to Phantom of the Opera starts I get actual chills. I think that in terms of Phantoms, Ramin has the strongest stage presence. Like, WOW. #swoon.

That’s perfect! I’ll let you know as soon as they ship so we can finish our current reads. BTW, a re-read of ACOTAR is ALWAYS the way to go! [THE HYPE IS REAL!!!] 💙💙💙

  4. Gemma (abookishblether) says:

I’d heard so many mixed reviews of Serpent & Dove I’ve been putting it off, so to hear someone so excited for the sequel makes me want to bump S&D up on my tbr. The second one looks so gorgeous! I was really hoping for a great fantasy romance enemies to lovers style.
